Short answer. The Incident Reports are Steam announcements that retell scenes from Tsumimi's streams as the search for the missing Mashiro goes on. Report #01 is dated 29 September 2026 [S2]; the latest one read, Report #12 on Tsumimi's outburst about the footprints, is dated 17 October 2026 [S12]. The scenes move from an abandoned village and facility to a hexagonal tunnel and a burned apartment building, where the same footprints turn up twice [S11].

The premise the reports build on

The store page for Red Chat Ritual says "Mashiro, your favorite streamer, is missing." [S1] As a viewer you intervene in streamer Tsumimi's livestreams over 15 days to uncover the truth behind that disappearance [S1]. Who Tsumimi and Mashiro are is covered on the characters page, and how the day and night play works is on the how to play page.

The store page carries a content advisory: the game "contains sensitive material, including depictions of violence and blood, as well as content related to self-harm and suicide" [S1]. Several reports below describe scenes of that kind.

Report timeline

Each entry below is taken from the Steam announcement named in its marker, and the wording stays close to the report. The reports are written as news items about Tsumimi's streams.

Mashiro's disappearance and the village challenge

  • 29 September 2026, Report #01, "Where Did Mashiro Go?" The agency announced that "Mashiro has been unreachable since leaving her home" and said it is cooperating with the police on the investigation [S2].
  • 1 October 2026, Report #02, "Last Known Sighting". During Tsumimi's comeback stream, a viewer commented "Isn't that close to the place where Mashiro was last seen?" and Tsumimi denied the connection [S3]. Tsumimi announced that the next stream will feature a challenge in a village known for its high concentration of properties where fatal incidents have occurred [S3].

The abandoned village and the facility

  • 2 October 2026, Report #03, "Possible Signs of a Man Found at the Site". At the abandoned property Tsumimi found footprints believed to belong to an adult man, then a large number of cigarette butts [S4]. Later Tsumimi spotted a man in the woods and, feeling in danger, decided to leave [S4].
  • 3 October 2026, Report #04, "Animal Carcasses Found in the Prayer Room". In the "Prayer Room" Tsumimi found a bloodstained door and the carcass of an animal, with another similar carcass on the altar [S5]. Tsumimi reportedly heard a man screaming from somewhere inside the facility [S5].
  • 6 October 2026, Report #05, "Male Footsteps Inside the Facility". Tsumimi hears a deep male voice shouting, then a man's footsteps approaching, and moves through the facility looking for an exit, but the door is locked [S6].

The hexagonal tunnel

  • 10 October 2026, Report #06, "The Mysterious Hexagonal Tunnel in the Mountains". On the way to an apartment building where a self-immolation is said to have taken place, Tsumimi finds a tunnel whose entrance is hexagonal [S7]. Tsumimi says "Normal tunnels are, like, more rounded, right?" and a Mega Chat sent during the stream triggers a mysterious search term [S7].
  • 12 October 2026, Report #07, "Mysterious Search Terms Suddenly Appear". The term was "Old Tunnel", and later in the stream another appeared: "Hexagonal Abandoned Tunnel." [S8]
  • 13 October 2026, Report #08, "Eerie Footprints Leading Deeper into the Abandoned Tunnel". Inside, Tsumimi notices puddles and muddy patches and finds footprints that lead deeper into the tunnel [S9]. Tsumimi says "That guy... Is he staying one step ahead of Tsumimi...?" and the report links this to the suspicious figure from the previous day's stream [S9].

The apartment building

  • 15 October 2026, Report #10, "Arrival at the Scene of a Self-Immolation Driven by Debt". Tsumimi arrives at an apartment building where, it is said, someone driven to desperation by debt doused themselves in gasoline and set themselves on fire [S10]. Tsumimi focuses on one room that appeared to have suffered particularly severe fire damage [S10].
  • 16 October 2026, Report #11, "The Same Footprints at the Scene". Near the entrance of that room Tsumimi finds footprints in the ash and dust that are "identical to those she had discovered earlier in the hexagonal tunnel" [S11]. The report asks whether this was a coincidence or whether the same person visited both locations [S11].
  • 17 October 2026, Report #12, "Is Someone Following Tsumimi?". Losing patience, Tsumimi shouts "What the hell is going on?! If you're out there, show yourself! I'll take you to court! And I'll win!" [S12] The report adds that the person responsible for the footprints never appeared [S12].

Where the reports overlap the demo

The Final Demo came out on 28 September 2026, and Tohakusha wrote that it "lets you play through part of DAY7" [S13].

An earlier demo already seems to contain the tunnel and apartment sequence. In the captions of Seira Wynn's video "[ASMR] I Play, You Sleep! Let's find Mashiro! Red Chat Ritual TSUMIMI TIME DEMO" (13 August 2026), the streamer says at [14:14] "time to take on that tunnel" [S14]. At [15:21] the captions read "They're heading further in. So, the guy got ahead of her." [S14]. At [16:27] they read "They say the victim was drowning in debt" and at [16:45] "If you're going to show, then show yourself" [S14]. These are automatic captions of a streamer talking, so they show the scene order, not the exact on-screen text.
